ℹ️ Source & dates

Released July 25, 2026, 12:00 PM ET (16:00 UTC), per the official Anime Expeditions X account and the Roblox page (name switched to Anime Expeditions [UPDATE 😈]). Game content here is community-verified from ggwtb, Beebom, AllThings.how, and Sportskeeda summaries; some specifics are flagged for recheck.

Overview

Update 0.5 is a limited-time event update. The event elements are time-bound — Villain Invasion runs through Update 2, while Villain Hunt and Bounty Board run through Update 1. The four new villain units, the new gear, the demon-wing mount, new skins, and a new accessory are permanent additions.

The core loop is: grind the event stages → earn Villain Coins → pull new villain units on the limited Event Banner → use Crow Relics and Crow’s Ring to evolve Secret Itachi (Crow).

Villain Invasion event map (4 acts)

The headline event is a new 4-act map, with each act using a distinct mechanic. The community calls it the Villain Invasion / Villain Event; the exact in-game map name is not single-source confirmed yet.

ActMechanicHow to handle it
Act 1Basic enemiesWarm-up wave — set up your team.
Act 2Shielded enemiesFront-loaded DPS is needed to break shields; level your main carry first.
Act 3 (Grimmjow / RazorJaw boss)Enemies gain a speed buff; DoT-killed enemies revive a limited number of timesBring slow units and avoid relying on burn/poison to finish kills.
Act 4 (Crow boss)Crow Relic-gatedNeeds a Crow Relic plus an evolved DPS, slow, and buffer; low drop rate grind.

Four new villain units

The update adds four villain units. Crow (Black Fire), also called Secret Itachi, is the headline chase unit — a Secret at 0.01% on the limited Event Banner. The other three are Mythics.

UnitInspirationRarityRole / how to get
Crow (Black Fire) — "Secret Itachi"Itachi (Naruto)SecretLimited Event Banner at 0.01% (~1/10,000). Black Fire DoT + shield burn, Illusion stored-damage release, Broken Mind delayed burst. Evolves with Crow's Ring. Hits harder the tankier the target. Anti-shield / anti-tank specialist.
Dark MageJudar (Magi)MythicS+ — the new #1 carry. Dual Ice (freeze) and Lightning (per-tick ~50% DPS) forms; keep Lightning form active. Build: Unbound + Shinigami Sword + Magic Book.
RazorJaw (Grimmjow)Grimmjow (Bleach)MythicS — crit sleeper; crit rate scales with AoE hits and the final hit scales on stacked crit. Build it as a crit carry, not flat damage. Build: Forsaken + Enhanced Katana + Shinigami Sword.
Cursed ImmortalImmortal-villain archetype (codename Black Sun)MythicA — map-dependent DPS whose clones tick the path. Strong on long or bending maps, weak on short or straight ones. Build: Unbound + Magic Book + Three Swords from Hell.

⚠️ Stats unconfirmed

Base stats (damage / SPA / range / cost) for the new units are not yet verified first-hand. Tiers for the four units are community-tested (ggwtb Update 0.5 testing, subjective). Treat any specific stat numbers as unconfirmed until checked in-game.

Crow (Secret Itachi) build notes

Crow is a damage-over-time and delayed-burst unit, so build it differently from a flat-damage carry:

  • Black Fire does not stack — only one layer is effective on a target, so piling on more Black Fire sources adds little.
  • Because of that, Draconic (a DoT-oriented trait) is low value here, even though Crow is a DoT unit.
  • Unbound is the best trait for Crow.
  • Gear: Three Swords from Hell + Magic Book. Skip crit gear — DoT does not benefit from crit.

New currency, materials & gear

The event adds a dedicated currency, evolution materials for Secret Itachi, and new event gear plus a mount. Exact drop sources for some materials are still being verified.

Limited Event Banner

A limited Event Banner features Secret Itachi (Crow) at 0.01% (about 1 in 10,000) and is also where the event Mythics (Dark Mage, Grimmjow, Cursed Immortal) can be pulled. Banner Blitz temporarily raises Mythic rates while it is active.

⚠️ Banner details unconfirmed

The banner’s name, exact per-rarity rates, and pity / carryover rules are not single-source confirmed. Treat any specific rate or guarantee as community-reported until verified.
